ESPN 1420's Codoy Juno joins KATC to preview Louisiana's 2019 season and opener Saturday against Mississippi State.

Among topics, Andrew and Cody discuss the Cajuns' struggles against top tier programs. Louisiana hasn't played a power-5 school closely since 2012, but could very well do just that against the Bulldogs in New Orleans.

"Outside of a game against Florida in 2012, there haven't been games in which, forget winning, you had the win against A&M in 1996 but competed," he said. "Especially when you look at the modern era in the last 20 years. As Cajun fans, when you look at it and the program ascends as we locally think, the Cajuns can't go out and lay an egg Saturday."

"That has nothing to do with this team. It's 2019," Napier said Wednesday night during his weekly press availability. "This is a completely different group of players and nothing that happened in the past will have anything to do with what happens Saturday. This is going to be this team, versus that team."

Louisiana lost by a combiend 88 points in games against Alabama and Mississippi State in 2018.
