LAFAYETTE – Highlighted by four-straight home games to open the season and matchups against five in-state opponents, the Louisiana Women’s Basketball team has announced its non-conference schedule for the highly anticipated 2020-21 season.
The campaign tips off on Wednesday, Nov. 25, when the Ragin’ Cajuns host the New Orleans Privateers. The season-opening contest is followed by three more home bouts, beginning with Loyola-New Orleans (Nov. 30) and North Texas (Dec. 4).
On Wednesday, Dec. 9, the team wraps up its non-conference home slate when it welcomes McNeese State to the CAJUNDOME for the program’s annual Education Day.
Louisiana will get its first taste of road action with its final two out-of-conference matchups, traveling to Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday, Dec. 12, and to Louisiana Tech on Sunday, Dec. 20.
All game times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
The CAJUNDOME will operate at a significantly reduced capacity for the 2020-21 season (unless state policy changes during the season). This will allow for fans and University students to be accommodated this season.
Should disruptions or modifications to the 2020-21 season occur due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Athletics will quickly communicate the adjustments through its social media channels and RaginCajuns.com. Additionally, the department will communicate any changes to specific entry and attendance protocols for home games.
