Cajuns' forward Ty Doucet earned preseason first team all-conference honors Wednesday, the Sun Belt name teammate Brandi Williams to the third team.
Doucet, a Ville Platte prep star, led the Cajuns in scoring (12.6 ppg) and rebounding (7.6 rpg) a season ago. She has 905 career points and will likely become the 19th player in school history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark. She also has 80 career blocks, which ranks third all-time in school history.
Williams, a junior guard, was was the Sun Belt freshman of the year in 2019. As a sophomore, she averaged 11.7 ppg. With 722 career points, the Barbe product will also stand a chance at joining Doucet this winter in the 1K club.
