LAFAYETTE – Riding the momentum of a series sweep over Arkansas State, Louisiana will remain in the state of Arkansas to take on Little Rock on Monday, Jan. 25. Tipoff from Jack Stephens Arena is slated for 5:30 p.m. CT.

The two-game series between the two programs was originally scheduled for Jan. 8-9 in Little Rock, but was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Trojans' program. The second game of the series will not be rescheduled.

Louisiana enters the game on a three-game winning streak, taking two games from Arkansas State after a 20-day layoff. There were plenty of star performers over the weekend, including Jomyra Mathis, who nearly averaged a double-double with 15.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest.

Mathis, who notched her first double-double of the season in Game Two in Jonesboro, was joined by both Brandi Williams and Skyler Goodwin who also averaged 15.0 points per game against the Red Wolves.

On the year, Williams continues to lead all Ragin' Cajun scorers by averaging 14.2 points in the nine games this year, with Goodwin right behind her at 10.9 points per contest. Ty'Reona Doucet, who saw her first conference action this past weekend, has also been stellar with 10.7 points and 7.7 rebounds in seven games played.

Little Rock (6-5, 2-2 Sun Belt) is coming off a weekend split against UT Arlington, winning Saturday's matchup 47-40 at home. Alayzha Knapp led the team with 18 points in the win.

The Trojans will face the Ragin' Cajuns without its top two scorers after Bre'Amber Scott and Brianna Crane opted out the remainder of the year. Teal Battle is the lone Trojan averaging in double figures at 11.2 points per game.

Monday's game will be the 38th all-time meeting between the two programs, with Little

Rock leading 26-11. With a win, Louisiana will secure its first victory in Little Rock since winning 65-58 on Jan. 7, 2016.
