After a rocky start to the season, Louisiana women's basketball has settled into the pocket and are jamming their way through the Sun Belt.

Riding a six game winning streak that's taken them to the top of the Sun Belt West, Louisiana hosts Arkansas State Friday and Saturday at the Cajundome. Head coach Garry Brodhead says their is a noticeable hunger in the locker room as the Cajuns become the hunted. He adds is now looking for respect, something they'll have to earn by extending its run.

"These kids want to be believed in. They believe in one another. They're taking care of their business, but they just want others to notice it to," he said. "The way to do that is you have to win games. And to me it's a pride issue for them and they're starting to take pride in what they're accomplishing and what they're doing."

The Cajuns swept A-State in Jonesboro two weeks ago. Louisiana plays three games in four days, hosting UT-Arlington on Monday, which was a previously scheduled game that was postponed because of COVID.

Tip-off Friday night a at 6 p.m., Saturday's game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
