BATON ROUGE — Louisiana fell to LSU Saturday after topping OK State during the third day of the LSU Crossover, splitting the team's two game.

Summer Ellyson pitched a gem in a 7-1 win over the 8th ranked Cowgirls. She allowed just two hits, striking out three. Justice Milz drove in two of Louisiana's 7 runs, while Carrier Boswell homered in the win.

Immediately following the game the Cajuns played LSU for the second time in three days. Ellyson, who relieved Kandra Lamb in the fourth, was hit with the loss in game two against the 11th ranked Tigers. Ellyson allowed just two hits, but got knocked with an unearned run in the sixth when a bunt went awry. Tied 2-2, LSU's Ciarra Briggs laid down a bunt that was field by Cajuns' third basemen Jade Gortarez. Her throw got away from the fielder and rolled to the fence. The throwing error allowed Briggs to reach first and advance around the bases and score, giving LSU a 3-2 win.

The loss moved the Cajuns to 9-2 on the season. Louisiana plays Oklahoma State Sunday at 11 a.m. at Lamson Park.
