Cajuns Open Season at Iowa State Saturday

Louisiana opens the season at no. 23 Iowa State.

The Cajuns come off a program record 11-win season in 2019, but face an experienced Iowa State team led by three-year starting quarterback Brock Purdy who threw for nearly 4,000 yards.

Louisiana packs plenty of punch on offense too this season returning two, 2,000 career-yard rushers Elijah Mitchell and Trey Ragas. Last year starting quarterback Levi Lewis broke most program passing records throwing for 3,000 yard and 26 touchdowns.

Kickoff in Ames, IA is scheduled for 11 a.m.
