Louisiana basketball continues working with schools to solidify a plan to start playing in November as planned.
In Thursday's video conference, head coach Bob Marlin expressed his excitement for the schedule that was set last spring. However, due to the impact COVID-19 is bringing to some of those teams, the schedule needs some adjustments.
"Scheduling was all wrapped up, and we had a really good schedule. We were able to pick a couple of more non-division one home games to fill out the schedule. A lot of those levels of basketball aren't even playing, and some are going to continue playing some games. It's just so up in the air right now," said Marlin.
Marlin did say some in-state schools have reached out looking to fill some of the holes on the schedule. Currently, teams in the Southland Conference still have a handful of schools needing match-ups.
