If you followed each round of the Cajuns Madness' bracket, it should come at no surprise that track-and-field standout Chandler Mixon upset All-American pitcher Summer Ellyson.
The Highland Baptist product had a very strong web-voting contingent, that carried him through each round. Mixon upset two number one seeds in Alissa Dalton, and Summer Ellyson, and beat a third UL softball star Julier Rawls to advance to the finals.
His status as a decathlete, an athlete that competes in 10 events, seemed to resonate with some voters.
