Louisiana soccer faces Coastal Carolina Wednesday in the Sun Belt quarterfinals.

The Sun Belt soccer tournament began Monday. The Cajuns earned a first round bye.

Louisiana finished the season 8-4-1, using a 6-match win streak during conference play to earn the number two seed in the Sun Belt West. During that span, Louisiana goalie Lauren Starwood didn't allow a goal, a streak that extended seven matches.

The streak, however, was bookend by loses to Arkansas State. The Red Wolves are the top seed in the tournament. They beat the Cajuns 3-0 in the season finale.

"We were riding pretty high and probably feeling pretty good about ourselves in many ways," said head coach Lance Key. "And I think for good reason. But at the same point, the loss on the road to end the season is a reminder that we're going to see good teams this time of year. Tournament soccer is different than regular season. So, I think a goo, humbling experience."

The Cajuns are 1-3-1 all-time against Coastal Carolina. The two did not meet this season.
