LAFAYETTE — New Iberia native Zi'Yon Hill spent the better part of two seasons with Louisiana juggling injuries. Even this spring Hill was limited following surgery. But with those days in his rear-view mirror he's impressing in the first days of camp.

Hill played for Catholic High of New Iberia, playing running back. Napier lauded that athleticism during Monday's press conference. But more so head coach Billy Napier is impressed with everything else Hill does.

"His attitude in particular, outside of his physical abilities, the motor and effort he's playing with," Billy Napier said. "I've seen him 30-yards downfield chasing the ball on a consistent basis. I'm very impressed with his attitude and effort right now."

In 10-games last season Hill recorded 47 tackles and one sack.
