With just seconds on the clock, Coastal Carolina kicker Massimo Biscardi drilled a 40-yard field goal to lift Coastal Carolina past no. 21 Louisiana Wednesday night 30-27.

In a back-and-forth affair, it was only appropriate that the team with the ball at the end won the game.

Louisiana, coming off a 17-day bye-week, showed no signs of rust. Billy Napier's offense marched down the field on a 10-play opening drive to score. Jalen Williams catching his first touchdown of the season. The Cajuns would tally more than 400 yards in the game.

Coastal responded with a similar 10-play opening-drive to tie the game, CJ Marable scoring the first of two touchdowns on the night. Louisiana never led again.

The Cajuns were forced to counter-punch the rest of the way.

After the game, head coach Billy Napier touched on the fact that Louisiana had its chance to win the game. It came late in the third quarter.

After scoring on consecutive drives, the Cajuns forced a punt and took over with a bag full of momentum. Levi Lewis would throw an interception. Coastal scored three plays later, stealing the momentum and putting Louisiana back in the corner.

Louisiana rushed the ball for 240 yards, tying their season high. Levi Lewis led the team with a career high of 84 rushing yards.

The Cajuns play next Friday, October 23 at the University of Alabama Birmingham.
