Cajuns face Georgia Southern Saturday in SBC opener

After taking care of business with a 45-25 victory over Ohio in its last game, Louisiana continue its road swing on Saturday, Sept. 28, when it travels to Allen E. Paulson Stadium for a 5 p.m. (CST) showdown with the Georgia Southern Eagles.

In just two meetings in the all-time series, the road team has emerged victorious with Louisiana winning the first meeting between the two teams in Statesboro, 33-26, in 2016, before Georgia Southern returned the favor in Lafayette with a 34-24 win in 2017.

Louisiana is also seeking its first win in a Sun Belt Conference opener since defeating South Alabama, 28-23, on Sept. 17, 2016.
