Another Cajuns' comeback solidifies home game in Sun Belt opener

LAFAYETTE — Louisiana will host Arkansas State Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in the Sun Belt Tournament opening round thanks to the team's second double-digit comeback in five days.

Cedric Russell scored 28, as Louisiana beat Coastal Carolina 108-101. The 108 points is the third most the team has scored in a Sun Belt game.

Louisiana trailed by as many as 16 points in the first half, before whittling the lead to 10 at the half. Russell (28) and P.J. Hardy (24) combined for a school record-tying 52 points.

Louisiana hosts Arkansas State Saturday at 11 a.m. The Cajuns overcame a double digit second half deficit less than a week ago to beat the Red Wolves. Louisiana is 1-1 against A-State. The team will play the first of three games as the Cajundome Saturday. The Louisiana women's team plays Texas State at 2 p.m., the Globetrotters will have the floor later that night at 7 p.m.
