Rivalry Week: In the past two seasons, two of the best Sun Belt games have come out of the annual Battle on the Bayou. Missed field goals in the final seconds have cost ULM in consecutive years, Louisiana winning 31-30 last year, and 31-28 in 2018. All-time the Cajuns lead the series 29-25.

Shorthanded Cajuns: A week ago Louisiana football couldn't play after more than 30 players were being quarantined with the coronavirus. This week head coach Billy Napier remained in isolation as he recovered from the virus. He is eligible to be on the sideline with the team Saturday and will travel separate from the team. Peter LeBlanc and Eric Garror will be absence from the game, presumably in COVID protocol.

Warhawks' Wild Card: To quote Jake Tapper, football in Monroe is "a hot mess, inside a dumpster fire, inside a train wreck." The winless the Warhawks have coaches quitting and players transferring and that's added up to bad football. Outside of a 35-30 loss to Georgia Southern, ULM hasn't played a game closer than 18 points. But its often said the most dangerous teams have nothing to lose. ULM has nothing to lose. Do they have the pride to upset a top-25 team on senior day?
