BATON ROUGE — Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon is calling on auto insurance companies to follow the leads of Allstate and Geico and reduce their rates during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Allstate and Geico both announced earlier this week that they are reducing April and May premiums by 15 percent. Allstate made its announcement on Monday. Geico made its announcement on Tuesday.
