BATON ROUGE — Ed Orgeron spoke highly of his offensive line Tuesday calling it the most improved position group. A high praise for a unit already dealing with absenses.

Tuesday freshman Kardell Thomas and Charles Turner missed practice again, leaving open reps for Teurlings freshman Thomas Perry. The 6-foot-5 inch freshman took second team reps as a guard and got a glowing review from senior guard Damiern Lewis.

"He's a great kid. He's learning and he's coming along," said Lewis. "He one of those guys well need and everyone is going to play in their room. He's one of those guys who learning and taking it in. He's putting in his steps and taking it day by day and getting better, trying to compete for a spot."

Orgeron spoke on the offensive line first in a radio interview on 104.5 ESPN Radio, reaffirming that with reporters later in the day.

"The group I'm most proud of is the offensive line," he said in his opening statement. "I believe the offensive line, at this point in camp. is the most improved group."
