On a day where LSU saw a couple players flip to Alabama, the Tigers still put together a top 5 recruiting class.

LSU's class ranks fourth, according to 247Sports, trailing Alabama, Ohio State, and Georgia. The Tigers signed 22 players, including the top two out of Louisiana: Maason Smith and Sage Ryan.

Smith was a big pick for the Tigers. The 316-pound defensive tackle is graded as the second best defensive tackle in the country. He and safety Sage Ryan, a Lafayette Christian star, are the Tigers' only two five-star signees.

LSU picked up six players from Louisiana, including three from Acadiana. St. Thomas More's Jack Bech committed earlier this fall, while Southside's Malike Nabers, a Mississippi State commit, flipped Wednesday. Ryan, Bech and Nabers are the three highest graded prospects from Acadiana.
