LSU schedules "home-and-home" with Florida State

BATON ROUGE — LSU football will open the 2022 season with Florida State, the two's first meeting since 1991.

The Tigers and Seminoles announcing a "home-and-home" series Tuesday. The teams meet in 2022 and again the following season.

The first match-up will be played at the Superdome on Saturday, September 4th. Both games will be at neutral sites. In 2023 LSU plays FSU at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Saturday, September 3rd.

Florida State owns the all-time series 7-2, but the two teams haven't played each other since 1991.

LSU has a power five non-conference opponent schedule for each season this decade. The tigers play Texas, the home half of a home-and-home, this season. LSU then plays UCLA in 2021, FSU in 2022 and 2023, UCLA again in 2024, Clemson in 2025 and 2026, Oklahoma in 2027 and 2028, and Arizona State in 2029 and 2030.
