After 3: LSU trails Mississippi State 27-24
Tigers came out of halftime with a 15-play drive, but LSU had to settle with a Cade York field goal to tie the game at 17. Trailing 20-17 later, Myles Brennan connected with Terrace Marshall for a 37 yard TD to give LSU a 24-20 lead. The very next play from scrimmage, Bulldogs running back Kylin Hill caught a 75 yard touchdown pass to put MSU back in front.
Bulldogs QB K.J. Costello has 470 yards and 3 TDs through 3 quarters.
HALFTIME: LSU trails Mississippi State 17-14
There was more fireworks in the 2nd quarter for both teams. It started with LSU linebacker Jabril Cox's pick-6 from 14 yards out to give LSU a 7-3 lead. After trailing 10-7, QB Myles Brennan connected with freshman tight end Arik Gilbert on a 2 yard touchdown.
Mississippi State offense really began to torch LSU defensive backs in the 2nd. Bulldogs QB K.J. Costello is 21-36 for 292 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT at halftime. Wide Receiver Osirus Mitchell already has 5 catches for 132 yards and 1 TD.
LSU is not only the defending national champs, but the Tigers also have the longest winning streak in the nation on the line at 16 games.
