Liberty University blocked the tying field goal in overtime to win the 2020 Cure Bowl over Coastal Carolina Saturday.
No. 23 Liberty came out on top over the No. 9 Chanticleers 37-34 in the bowl game.
Coastal Carolina was ranked 12th in the latest College Football Playoff rankings despite being one of just five undefeated teams in the nation, according to the Associated Press.
Liberty's win is their second consecutive Cure Bowl victory.
