Daniel Cormier will say goodbye to the octagon one final time Saturday night.
The Lafayette native wraps up his trilogy with Stipe Miocic as the headliner for UFC 252.
The 41-year-old has fought Miocic in each of the last two years, splitting those decisions. Cormier says no matter the outcome, tomorrow will be his last fight.
In an interview with CNN, Cormier called tomorrow night's fight bittersweet, but vows the next chapter of his life will be just as big.
"I don't think you ever meet a professional athlete that truly wants to walk away, but you have to understand that there's a time for everything, and at 41 years old, I get to fight for the heavyweight championship of the world, and I couldn't have imagined going out in a better situation and becoming the champion again," Cormier said.
Tomorrow's fight starts at 9:00 p.m. CST.
