After trailing 1-0 at halftime, St. Thomas More found its championship stride hanging four goals in the second half, topping Lakeshore 4-2 for the Cougars' fourth consecutive soccer title.

"When we got the first goal in the first 3 minutes to tie it up. That was a big confidence boost for us," said senior defensemen Riley LeBlanc. " I could feel our teams energy and emotions heightened, 100 percent."

Lakeshore's first half goal was the first goal STM had allowed in a postseason match since the Titans beat them 1-0 in the 2017 championship. Since that loss the Cougars have gone untouched during this impressive postseason run.

"This whole year has been about dealing with adversity. To see the girls excel in the moment under pressure, it brings joy to your heart," said head coach Daniel Underwood.

"If people think one is sweet, four is on a whole other level. You can't even fathom it," added LeBlanc.

Brooklyn Babineaux scored twice in win, including the go-ahead goal in the 85th minute. She was named the Most Outstanding Player.
