EUNICE — St. Edmund football has celebrated 19 wins the past two years under Andy Hargroder, but the former St. Edmund head coach is out, ushering a new era.
A Blue Jays alum, Terry Shiver takes over and is bringing a fun and fresh approach to the team.
The Wing-T option-based offense will be run out of the shotgun. The 4-3 defense will be 3-4. Shiver is not jsut trying to modernize the system, but have more fun.
"I use some crazy terminology, social media, and fun slang. The kids really buy in," he said. "We are prepared to go no-huddle with the signs like SpongeBob. We're not going to because we're just a 1A program, but we're prepared to."
2018 Record: 9-2
Head Coach: Terry Shiver
Other Notes: Went 19-4 over past two seasons
