ARNAUDVILLE — Sal Diesi didn't expect to be a head football coach a few weeks ago, but life comes fast.
Days before Beau Chene opened camp head coach Richard Morales stepped down after just 13 months on the job.
Morales told the Daily Iberian that he felt that the school didn't support the football program, adding "I was put in a situation where I felt I could not win."
Now Diesi steps in as an interim coach of an 0-10 team, looking for something positive.
"Our weakness, I guess, is the situation that has gone on, athletically, with football the past 13 months," Diesi said. "It really plays to the kids psyche and doesn't show them any consistency in the football program."
