"People are going to talk about the split and about how it's watered down. I'm not going to argue about the first few rounds. But let me explain this to you, in 3A Wossman will play for the state championship, we beat them. In 4A Breaux Bridge will be playing for the state championship, we beat them. In 1A North Central will be playing for the state championship, we beat them. In select Division III Dunham will be playing for the state championship, we beat them... and U-High played for the state championship, we beat them, twice. This team has proven itself. There is no doubt about this team because we've proven ourselves through the regular season and postseason run."
