The Acadiana Christian Defenders, a Lafayette-based homeschool team, beat Oklahoma City Saturday to win the NHFA Division III National Championship.
This is the team's second championship in three years.
ACA traveled to Panama City, FL and played the Dallas Homeschool Blue Angles 38-28 in the semifinals. In the championship Saturday ACA beat the OKC Patriots 20-15. Five players were named to the NHFA All-Star team, Jordan Freyou, Keith Richard, Elijah Watson, Elijah Armentor, and Lane Comeaux.
