DELCAMBRE, La (KATC) — This week’s Senior Spotlight features Delcambre softball pitcher Ali Rae Falgout. The Lady Panthers ace played a role in all 15 of Delcambre’s regular season wins this season.
More than just an athlete, Falgout is also slated to be Delcambre High School’s 2019 valedictorian.
Now the Delcambre High senior has her sights set on nursing school at the University of Louisiana – Monroe in the fall.
She says her time as a softball pitcher has helped her develop mental toughness on and off the diamond.
“I kind of like the pressure it puts on you,” Falgout said. “It teaches you to be tough, mentally tough. I feel like [because of it] I’ll be ready for anything that life throws at me.”
