Hess dominates in 4-1 win at Texas A&M Thursday

COLLEGE STATION–Right-hander Zack Hess shutout the No. 19 Texas A&M Aggies in a career-high eight innings, and the No. 17 LSU baseball team used a four-run fourth inning to secure the first game of the three-game series, 4-1, Thursday night at Blue Bell Park. 

The Tigers and Aggies will return to action in Game 2 at 6 p.m. CT Friday in a contest televised by the SEC Network. The game will also be broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network. 

In the bottom of the ninth inning with a solo home run by Will Frizzell, the Tiger bullpen’s scoreless streak of 29.2 innings was snapped.
