Participants with the Boudin Festival donated 1,000 meals Saturday to support the City of Scott and its businesses through COVID-19.

Residents were given two meals per vehicle at Scott City Hall from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Businesses participated include Best Stop, Billy's, Don's, Menard's, Nunu's and Romero's.

In a Facebook post Mayor Jan-Scott Richard said, "We are Scott Louisiana. Our community and Festival is proud to give back. I am Scott proud! Together we are better."

"We try and give back as much as we can every year and instead of sitting and waiting for the Boudin Festival to come back in September which is when we rescheduled for we decided there was no better time than to give back now when people needed it," said Daniel Noel, President Boudin Festival.
