A local business is implementing no-touch thermometers to keep customers safe.

Hand Up Thrift on Leonie Street in Lafayette says they struggled to find the devices that would help them fully open their doors to the public. With the help of A&E Office machines, HUT was able to begin using no-touch temperature sensors to check customers and staff.

Once your temperature is taken and your mask is on, you can then begin shopping.

"This has allowed us to open our doors with the assurance of public safety at the forefront," explained Kat Crappel. "It's a great tool to have because it's accurate. A lot of the other devices we were using were not quite as accurate as this one. It gets our customers shopping even faster which we really like, and they like too."
