KAPLAN, La — A special council meeting will be held tonight in Kaplan to discuss the future of the Fire Chief.
Last month Chief Jacob Mathiew was placed on a two-week suspension. The reason for the suspension was not given at the time.
The only item on tonight's agenda is the termination of Mathiew.
The meeting begins at 5 pm at Kaplan City Hall.
