LDWF releases identity of missing boater recovered from Vermilion Bay

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has released the identity of the missing boater found this week in Vermilion Bay.

LDWF identified the man as 47 year old Troy Delahoussaye of Lydia. Delahoussaye's body was recovered on Monday, the spokesman said.

On Sunday, the Coast Guard has suspended efforts after searching approximately 1782 square miles continuously over 25 hours.

On Friday, we reported that Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries agents were searching for a person in the water in Vermilion Bay.

The incident happened two miles offshore of Cypremort Point.

The LDWF, U.S. Coast Guard and Vermilion Parish Sheriff's office were searching for the missing boater.
