Funeral arrangements set for Iberia Parish deputy killed in fire

Funeral arrangements have been announced for the Iberia Parish deputy who died in a fire earlier this week in Erath.

Memorial services for 30-year-old Paul Lancon will be held at 10:00 am Monday, July 22, 2019 at Our Savior's Church in Broussard. Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Our Savior's Church in Broussard on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 am until 10:00 am at the church

Pellerin Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements. They say a complete obituary will be posted soon.

Lancon on Tuesday July 16, 2019 following a fire at his mobile home. Another deputy inside the home survived with burns and smoke inhalation. Both deputies were asleep, having worked the night shift, State Fire Marshal's Office Chief Browning said.
