The Erath Police Department says that a juvenile has been arrested in connection with Wednesday's school threats.

Chief Anna LaPointe says that a juvenile, who has not been identified but is over the age of 10, was charged with communicating of false information of planned bombing. LaPointe says the juvenile will be facing consequences in the courts.

The arrest was made at around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday after a complete investigation.

Dozier Elementary, Erath Middle and Erath High were evacuated after a threat was found on a school bus in a situation similar to what occurred on Friday February 7.

LaPointe mentions that Wednesday and Friday bomb threat investigations have been completed.

A third-grader who is younger than 10 years old was spoken to in connection with the threat that evacuated schools on Friday, February 7.

"The child didn't even know that what happened Friday (the evacuations) was because of what they did. The parent was very upset," LaPointe said.

There were no criminal charges against the child because of age. Read more here.
