Summer continues to chug along here in Acadiana with very little end in sight.
This means that temperatures will stay elevated along with humidity levels which will keep the heat index up in the 90s.
As moisture continues to get pushed into the atmosphere from the Gulf of Mexico which will spark a round of scattered showers.
The summer like forecast continues through the majority of the week before some slightly drier air will try and filter into Acadiana.
Drier air may make for a slightly more comfortable weekend, but the temperatures will be staying elevated.
