Louisiana State Police are investigating a trooper involved shooting that occurred on Interstate 10 near the Washington Street exit in Baton Rouge. One person was shot and pronounced dead on scene.
Detectives are trying to piece together what happened, and multiple law enforcement and emergency personnel were on site. Troopers say the incident happened after 11 p.m. Thursday night.
No law enforcement personnel were injured, and the identity of the subject isn't known at this time. Further information will be released when it becomes available.
