The weather is starting to get back to normal here in Acadiana with Cristobal well to the north of us, and we'll be left with our typical summer forecast.

It'll be a hot and humid afternoon across south Louisiana, much like you would expect this time of year in this part of the world, and with an abundance of moisture showers will be possible.

Look for the earliest showers to start popping up by mid morning in the southern parts of the region and slowly moving northward along the sea breeze this afternoon.

Don't get caught off guard by a rumble or two of thunder out there on Tuesday and keep an eye out for the occasional flash of lightning as storms roll through the area.

Believe it or not there is some relief on the way in the form of a weak "summer" front with dry air getting moved back into the area Wednesday afternoon which will help cool some of our evenings.

Scattered showers will move along the front on Wednesday morning and from there a great looking forecast for the end of the week.
