If you've been to a grocery store in the last few days you probably notice empty shelves. A number of consumers made a mad dash to several stores to stock up.

Dale Trahan owner of Piggly Wiggly stores, says groceries are continually restocking shelves and replacing product. He says most supermarkets receive two to seven shipments a week.

"The supply chain is continuing to fill back up. Consumers need to be aware that they will have plenty of product on the shelf and coming into the store every day," he said.

Trahan says you may not see a brand that you are used to, but other brands are available.

President Trump says there's no need to hoard supplies. He said he spoke to several leaders of big chain-grocery stores who all plan to stay open.

Customers can expect to see some stores start to cut back on hours.
