A Bayou Vista man was arrested Monday evening by St. Mary Parish deputies after barricading himself inside his home for several hours.
According to a spokesperson with the sheriff's office, deputies responded shortly before 2:12 p.m. Monday to a call of a barricaded person complaint at a residence on Crossroad #2 in Bayou Vista.
Upon arrival, deputies were informed that a man had barricaded himself inside the residence and was not answering any communication attempts.
Eventually, communication was established with the person and negotiations began.
At 5:20 p.m., the individual, identified as Humberto Gonzales, 31, was taken into custody on a charge of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
