As Hurricane Zeta set its eye on Louisiana, for once this hurricane season Acadiana was out of the path of the storm. Those living along the coast welcomed the change in course.
In Cypremort Point, Terry Curry spent the day preparing not for Hurricane Zeta, instead for dinner.
"I think we'll luck out this time again. It's looking good for this area right now around Cypremort Point.”
For Curry and others it was a welcomed change during what's been a hurricane season like no other.
"For one storm we had a small leak on the roof and that was taken care of. The fence had come halfway down and that's how I hurt my shoulder fixing the fence." We got the fence fixed up, but we still got some work to do,” Curry added.
While he continues to make repairs, he's hoping the season is now winding down.
"I think this one will be somewhat moderate to a certain extent than the previous ones through the years,” Curry said.
