St. Martinville Police are investigating a homicide at the corner of North Martin Luther King Drive and Porter Street.
Chief Ricky Martin told KATC that two men were shot on Thursday evening.
At the time of the release, one man was in surgery, while the other man, 19-year-old Christopher Jones, died on the scene.
