Storm debris pickup has been announced following a tornado in St. Martin Parish Wednesday night.

A single-wide mobile home was rolled over and completely destroyed, but was not occupied at the time. No injuries have been reported with the severe storm.

The EF1-2 tornado struck along Nursery Highway in the Grand Bois community.

Parish Government will assist in the collection of the storm debris beginning January 11, 2021.

Residents who experienced damages should follow these guidelines:

- All storm debris must be segregated from all other normal household waste and white goods.

- All storm debris should be placed on the edge of the property line so that it does not encroach upon any street/road or drainage lateral. Do not place any debris beneath any power or other utility lines.

Only debris generated by the tornado will be collected.
