Teen arrested for shooting at Cash Saver store in Opelousas that injured two

A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident at a store on Heather Drive.

Opelousas Police say the teen was arrested on Tuesday November 10 in connection withNovember 3 shooting at the Cash Saver store located on Heather Drive in Opelousas.

Two people were injured in that shooting which police say stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the teen's close family member and one of the victims in the shooting.

The other victim was not involved in the dispute but was in the line of fire, when the juvenile began shooting.

The 15-year-old was booked with two counts of attempted second degree murder and is being held pending a formal juvenile hearing.
