The St. Landry Parish School District's website is back up, however, the web address has changed.
The new web address is www.slpsb.org.
The school district was the recent victim of a cyber attack. During that time, the parish's computer systems were taken offline. Officials say that the attack was in the form of a computer virus.
Only online alternative classes with the school system experienced closures. Those programs, CAPS, Eunice Alternative, and St. Landry Virtual School at SLATS, were out nearly a week and resumed on Monday.
Superintendent Patrick Jenkins said that payroll was not affected by the cyber attack and everyone would be paid on schedule.
Jenkins provided important links for faculty, parents and students while they continued to fully get back online. That help included a temporary site which has now been taken down.
