Man wanted in Oct. 13 shooting arrested, booked with attempted murder

Opelousas Police have arrested a man who was wanted in connection with an October 13 shooting.

Quan’dareian Andrus, 20, was booked with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Possession of Schedule I CDS, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I Drugs, Illegal Possession of Weapons In Presence of CDS, Resisting an Officer and Possession of a Firearm with a Obliterated Serial Number,

Last week, we told you about Opleousas Police are searching for Andrus, who was identified as a suspect wanted in connection with an October 13 shooting that left one person injured.

Police say they think a second person is involved, but haven't identified them. At that time, Andrus and the unidentified suspect were believed to be living somewhere in Texas.

The incident happened on October 13 in the area of Academy and Blanchard Streets near an after-hours restaurant. Police say the area is commonly referred to as "The Back."

One person was shot four times and was taken to a local hospital for treatment

That victim was later released.
