Cold weather did not stop a Mardi Gras tradition for some in Eunice.
The Eunice Courir De Mardi Gras took place today.
This centuries-old Mardi Gras Tradition has revelers go from house to house begging to obtain the ingredients for a communal meal.
They dress in costumes dance, sing dance, and beg until the owner offers an ingredient for a gumbo. Often the owner will throw a live chicken into the air and the revelers will chase it and try to capture it.
