St. Landry Parish residents have the opportunity to recognize a special veteran or member of the military with a brick dedicated in their honor.
The St. Landry Parish Veterans Memorial Committee will be hosting an 'Engraved Brick Drive' on Friday, November 27, 2020, to offer brick dedications of the last remaining bricks available in the extended Memorial's Military Walkway.
Each brick dedication will cost $50 at the drive and will include three lines of engraving to recognize either a veteran or current member of the military. Brick costs will increase starting on January 1, 2021. All donations will help to fund future expansion of the memorial, including the planned addition of a new visitor's center.
The brick drive will be held at the St. Landry Parish Veterans Memorial, located at 5348 Highway 182 in Opelousas, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
