We're waiting on the next round of showers to move across Acadiana which are currently set to arrive early Friday morning, which could have an impact on some of the commutes.
In the meantime it'll be a beautiful day on Thursday with plenty of sunshine and temperatures that make their way to around 70 degrees for the high.
As the day goes on a few clouds will start to trickle into the area and eventually thicken up as we go overnight.
Showers will move in around daybreak on Friday, although any activity will be light and fairly isolated.
Those showers will ease up by Friday afternoon which will leave the weekend feeling a little cooler but it will at least be dry even with the added clouds.
The next round of heavy showers will swing through the region early next week.
