It was a wet start to the work week and that seems to have set the stage for a fairly unsettled pattern which will stick with us for another couple of days.

Tuesday morning will stay quiet and clouds will be slow to build up through the afternoon, but eventually the showers and storms will return to Acadiana.

Once we get through lunch time the clouds will darken and the first rumbles of thunder will start to roll across the area and showers will be spreading out through the evening.

There may be a strong thunderstorm or two but they will be isolated and fairly short lived, still though frequent lightning, wind and downpours will be the biggest issues we have with these storms.

As mentioned above, it'll be a wet stretch of days with more wet weather on the way through the midweek and continue into Thursday.

Despite several wet days the rain totals don't indicate any major flooding, that being said we've all seen what a quick summer down pour can do so be mindful of localized flooding around those more intense showers.

The wet weather will end on Friday as dust from the Sahara will move into the Gulf Coast squashing rain chances but producing hazy skies.
